Meet the Team

Robina Riccitiello

Co-Founder/Producer

Robina Riccitiello is a partner at Spark Features, a financing and production company she started with Josh Peters in 2022. In addition to her films at Spark, Robina was a producer on SOFT & QUIET, THE SOCIAL DILEMMA, AGAINST THE TIDE, THE INFILTRATORS, A LOVE SONG, BOCA CHICA, DARK MONEY, LATE BLOOMERS, FRYBREAD FACE AND ME, AFTERSHOCK, INVISIBLE BEAUTY, AYAR, CRUTCH, SELL/BUY/DATE, WE GROWN NOW, HUMMINGBIRDS, THE LAST YEAR OF DARKNESS, STAGE MOTHER and INVISIBLE HANDS. She also was a donor to THE GRADUATES, BERSTEIN’S WALL and RIOTSVILLE, USA. Upcoming projects include New Wave, Shoot the Bear, Sugarcane, Earthquake, the Strike, and Bitterroot.

A longtime journalist, Robina works in values-based personal storytelling with the Million Person Project and serves on the board at American Conservatory Theater and One Mind, an organization that funds mental health research. Robina also produced This Piece of Ground, a one man play about Dwight D. Eisenhower, which premiered off Broadway in June 2023. Robina graduated from UCLA. She lives in San Francisco and has two daughters.

Josh Peters

Co-Founder/Producer

Josh Peters is a partner at Spark Features, a financing and production company he started with Robina Riccitiello in 2022. Spark aims to support the work of emerging and diverse voices in film—with a particular focus on socially conscious subject matter. The company recently premiered Fawzia Mirza’s THE QUEEN OF MY DREAMS at TIFF ’23 and is in post production on Sean Wang’s feature debut, DÌDI (弟弟), and UNTITLED REBUILDING PROJECT, the second feature by Max Walker-Silverman. Spark is currently prepping the second feature by Shatara Michelle Ford (TEST PATTERN) to film in October ’23. Josh previously produced Hannah Peterson’s debut feature, THE GRADUATES, and took Beth de Araújo's debut feature, SOFT & QUIET, to SXSW where it sold to Blumhouse. Josh also had Robert Eggers’ THE LIGHTHOUSE in release via A24 and took Alan Ball’s movie, UNCLE FRANK, to Sundance in January 2020 where it was sold to Amazon Studios in a competitive situation.

Josh’s prior experience includes senior executive roles at Focus Features and FILMDISTRICT where he oversaw numerous productions including J.A. Bayona’s A MONSTER CALLS, the Jesse Owens biopic, RACE and Justin Tipping’s KICKS, Rian Johnson’s LOOPER, Nicholas Winding Refn’s DRIVE, Fede Alvarez’s EVIL DEAD and the INSIDIOUS franchise. Josh holds a B.A. in English from UCLA. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and three sons.
